Jane Lynch Rocks The 2012 FiFi Awards

At last night’s 2012 FiFi Fragrance Awards to celebrate and honor the art, passion and personalities of the fragrance world, Golden Globe and Emmy winning actress and comedian Jane Lynch brought the house down with her opening remarks that went something like this:

“I’m honored to be here tonight to serve as your host. Selecting me as host makes perfect sense, because when you think of a sexy, delicate and floral fragrance, you think, “Jane Lynch.”

Gifts for the Nose: 2012 Facebook FiFi Fragrance Giveaways

It’s that time again. Time for the now infamous FIFi Facebook GiveAways.

That’s right. It’s your chance to get your hands on some of this year’s fabulous FiFi nominees.

So how can you get your hands on a bottle? Well, it’s easy. On Facebook, we’ll announce the fragrance or fragrances up for grabs. The Best Packaging of the Year entries must have been introduced in 2011 as part of a new fragrance launch. The packaging entries are voted on by members of The Fragrance Foundation and trade press.

Announcing The 2012 Top Ten FiFi Finalists

 
“Announcing the Top Ten Finalists is exciting as now we can really say we are in FiFi mode and look forward to the fun and anticipation at The FiFi Finalists Breakfast, April 27th in the Grand Ballroom of The Mandarin Oriental when it gets narrowed down to the Top Five,” commented Jill Belasco, Chair of The Fragrance Foundation Board.

“Every year we look forward to receiving all the submissions and take great joy in seeing the stunning array of fragrances, fabulous packaging, exciting media campaigns and ingenious technology that goes into each creation, and wondering, along with everyone else, who will win what!” said Mary Ellen Lapsansky, Vice President of the Foundation.

At the same time, the Foundation is delighted to welcome the warm personality and bright smile of this year’s breakfast host Janice Huff, Chief Meteorologist for WNBC TV New York who will light up the proceedings at the industry’s most fun, yet nerve-wracking event! FiFi Season Has Officially Begun!

Last Friday, FiFi Awards season started off with a Bang! (literally for the happy folks at Marc Jacobs), with the who’s-who of the fragrance industry gathering for the announcement of the Top Five Finalists in all major 2011 FiFi Awards categories. Beauty insiders were again joined by the lovely morning’s hostess, W-ABC TV Lifestyle Reporter and Fill-in Anchor at Eye Witness News Lauren Glassberg, at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental in Columbus Circle. The morning began with the revealing of FiFi winners for Editorial Excellence and Technological Breakthrough, before segwaying into the morning’s main event, the Top Five Fragrance of the Year Finalists.
