FiFi Online Charity Auction

This year, for the very first time, The Fragrance Foundation is delighted to inaugurate the FiFi Awards Charity Auction in the days leading up to and following June 10th.

Thanks to the amazing generosity of Foundation members, a veritable treasure-trove of outstanding one-of-a-kind packages have been donated that will directly benefit two incredible non-profit organizations: Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) championed by FiFi Hall of Fame recipient Michael Kors and the New Look Foundation, founded by FiFi Male Fragrance Celebrity of The Year Usher. The Fragrance Foundation hopes to make this ‘give-back’ component an annual feature of the FiFi celebrations.

The Fragrance Foundation Announces 2009 FiFi® Awards

The Fragrance Foundation is pleased to announce details of the 2009 Fifi Awards Gala. Each year, this eagerly anticipated evening celebrates and honors the fabulous fragrances and the creative achievements of the fragrance community during a star-studded party full of glamour, celebrities, drama, hopeful nominees and ecstatic winners. The highly-coveted FiFi crystal award itself has become an internationally acclaimed symbol of excellence. Attended by over 1,000 personalities of the international fragrance and fashion world, The FiFi Awards are presented by celebrities, personalities and VIP’s from stage, screen, fashion and T.V.

News Flash:

The Fragrance Foundation is pleased and excited to announce a NEW category will be added to the 2009 night-of-night Fifi Awards. The new category is for NICHE/INDIE BRANDS (50 doors & under) within the fragrance industry which will shine a spotlight on these innovative, independent creators with a wonderful opportunity to be recognized and rewarded for their achievements.

Mention on Sniffapalooza

Karen D and I had an incredible day today! We attended the FiFi Finalists Breakfast this morning at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the Time Warner Bldg at Columbus Circle.

It was an elegant setting, attended by about 375 industry executives. Tova Borgnine was there, but we didn’t get to meet her :=(

We were seated with Rochelle Bloom, the President of TFF, Mary Ellen Lapsansky, the Executive Director of TFF, and Terry Molnar, the Exec Dir of the Sense of Smell Institute.

After a sumptuous breakfast was served, the presentation began. The Top Five Fragrance of the Year Finalists were announced in each distribution category and were honored with miniature crystal FiFi Awards. Lauren Glassberg, of Eyewitness News Channel 7, officiated.

The most exciting moment for us was when Lauren announced that consumers will be allowed to vote this year, and SNIFFAPALOOZA will be involved in this!
